This is one of those patents that should have never been awarded. The patent is on the use of LEDs to make scary glowing eyes. Come on. Glowing eyes are a staple of the horror genre. That's like claiming you invented "warm and fuzzy."

I Googled the inventor's name and the only Frank Beckings I found were a patent attorney in California and a German heavy-metal musician.

I recommend reading the full text of this patent. It's hilarious. My guess it was written as a joke, just to see if it got through the patent process. It claimed the invention may be used "in producing mass-hysteria."

Uhhh, neighborhood. I was not in fact developed in my neighbor.

Man, what kind of a neighbor did I grow up in that was devoid of "lepers and their heads"??? His amount of detail is hilarious, regarding the suggested use for various LED colors to convey specific terrifying or eerie imagery.

-_-' What's this world coming to. I think my mom's constipation stories are what should really be patented for creating "mass-hysteria!"
